Description
This gaiter enables simple and effective cooling, allowing horses to regenerate after a demanding performance, during convalescence or in the event of acute need after blunt injuries. The extra generous gaiter area allows it to be used on the front and rear legs.
The gaiter structure:
The COOL OFF cooling gaiter has 24 individual, permanently integrated cooling packs. These retain their flexible consistency so they can be adapted to horses’ legs with the greatest possible surface contact. The packs are padded on the outside for optimal insulation. This allows a stable temperature to be maintained over a longer period of time.
Four elastic Velcro straps are integrated into the durable 420 denier polyester outer material, making them easy and secure to put on.

Advantages:
- Uncomplicated and at the same time effective use, can be reused many times
- No power or water connection required during cooling
- The gaiter can be kept in the freezer for emergencies
- Resource-saving: Reduces water consumption compared to water cooling with a hose
Application steps:
- Pre-cool the gaiter completely in the freezer; an internal temperature of -6°C is usually reached
- Put on the gaiter like normal leg protection so that it cannot slip or pinch
- In order to achieve a deep effect, cool for about 20 minutes, the application can be repeated as required
- Only leave the gaiter on the leg during the cooling, do not leave the horse unattended

Hints:
- With two standard household ice packs, the gaiter keeps its cooling temperature for up to 4 hours in a commercially available cool bag with a temperature increase of only approx. 1-2° C per hour
- In a pre-cooled cool box and with two additional household, pre-cooled cold packs, the gaiter will remain at the same temperature for longer
